Amazon seller accounting services for FBA and FBM brands
Amazon does not hand you a profit figure. It hands you a settlement. We turn every settlement into proper books, then into a straight answer on which products actually make money.
- Settlements reconciled to the cent
- Profit by SKU, not just in total
- Dedicated accountant, not a ticket queue
Why Amazon accounting is not normal bookkeeping
A general bookkeeper treats your Amazon deposit as revenue. It is not. One settlement bundles sales, refunds, referral fees, FBA fees, storage, advertising and a reserve, and it rarely lines up with a calendar month. Book the deposit and every number downstream is wrong.
A settlement is not a sale
Amazon pays you roughly every two weeks, net of everything it has already taken. That single figure can contain two weeks of sales, refunds from last month, a reserve Amazon is still holding, and a dozen fee types.
We split each settlement into its real components and post them to the right accounts and the right period. Your revenue line becomes actual gross sales, and your fees become a cost you can see and argue with.
FBA fees are not one number
Referral fees, fulfilment fees, monthly storage, long-term storage, removal orders, returns processing, and low-inventory fees all behave differently, and some are charged on units you never sold.
We track them separately so you can see which fee is eating a product. An oversize fulfilment fee on a low-priced SKU is the single most common reason a product that looks fine is quietly losing money.
Inventory is where the profit hides
Most sellers expense stock when they pay the supplier. That makes the month you reorder look terrible and the month you sell through look brilliant, and neither reflects reality.
We capitalise inventory and release it to cost of goods sold as units actually sell, using landed cost — unit price, freight, duty and inbound shipping. That is what turns a cash-in-cash-out picture into a real margin.
Sales tax, handled accurately
In every state with a sales tax, marketplace facilitator law makes Amazon responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax on your Amazon sales. That removes a lot of the panic sellers arrive with.
What it does not remove is your own obligation on sales outside the marketplace, such as your Shopify store, or your income tax filing position. We keep the records clean and tell you plainly where you stand, and bring in a licensed CPA for the filing itself.
The ranking changes once every cost is allocated
Gross margin by SKU stops before the costs that actually differ between products: fulfilment by size and weight, storage by how slowly it sells, returns, and advertising. It is routine for a bestseller to drop to the bottom once those land, and for a quiet product to turn out to be the one carrying the business.
What's included every month
The same work, on the same date, every month. No chasing, no surprise invoices.
- Settlement reconciliation — every Amazon payout split into sales, refunds, fees and reserve, and tied back to your bank
- FBA fee breakdown — referral, fulfilment, storage, long-term storage, returns and removals tracked as separate lines
- Inventory and COGS — landed cost per unit, released to COGS as stock sells
- Reimbursement tracking — lost, damaged and over-charged units identified so nothing is written off silently
- Advertising reconciliation — PPC spend matched to the right period and measured against the margin it produced
- Multi-channel consolidation — Shopify, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Etsy and eBay brought into one set of accounts
- Monthly financial statements — P&L, balance sheet and cash flow you can actually read
- Profit by SKU and channel — contribution margin after every Amazon cost, per product
- Year-end accounts — tax-ready file handed to your CPA, or to ours
- A named accountant — the same person every month, who knows your account

What our clients say
Bexford made switching from my previous accountant completely painless. They handled everything and my tax return was filed ahead of schedule. Highly professional and always available.
The fixed monthly fee is great — I know exactly what I'm paying. The tax efficiency advice has already saved me more than the annual fee. I'd recommend Bexford to any growing small business.
I run a small architecture practice and Bexford handles everything — quarterly bookkeeping, annual accounts, owner compensation structuring. Wish I'd found them sooner. Absolutely five stars.
